Supported Downward-facing Dog Pose (Adho Mukha Svanasana)

Three minutes. Set up for the pose by placing a bolster, folded blanket, or block on your mat to support your head.

Come into Child’s pose with your big toes together and your knees wide apart, and your head on the bolster or other prop.

Extend your arms in front of you and place your palms on the mat with your fingers spread. Separate your feet to hips’ width apart, and turn your toes under.

On an exhalation, straighten your legs to come into the pose. If your forehead does not easily rest on the prop, you may either need to move the prop or increase its height.
