Breath counting in Ujjayi Pranayama.

Lie on your back with your head supported.

With each inhalation and exhalation, narrow your vocal cords to make a “hhhhhhhh” sound.

The key is never to strain at any time.

Pause and take normal breaths if your breathing becomes disturbed or difficult.

Continue to breathe this way, counting each exhalation.

When you reach ten, start counting over again. If you become distracted before you reach ten, calmly pick up where you left off.
