Shoulder movement in relaxation pose (Savasana)

While you are still in Supported Relaxation pose, straighten the fingers and thumb of one hand as in exercise Hand and elbow movements in relaxation pose (Savasana), with the palm facing upward to the degree that is comfortable.

Keeping the elbow straight, on an exhalation, raise your arm from your shoulder and move it up and over toward your head.

As you extend the arm, the thumb will move toward pointing at the ceiling.

How high you lift the arm depends on the mobility in your shoulder at any given time.

If you experience any pain at all, you’ve gone too far.

Inhale as you come down.

Repeat two more times on that side and then switch sides.
